Mrs. Troyer attended Saint Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lafayette IN and obtained employment in the Emory University hospital system as a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit Nurse responsible for recovering open heart and vascular surgical patients. After 17 years in the field, Mrs. Troyer accepted employment in Surgical Services at Piedmont Newnan Hospital where she worked in Preoperative, Post Anesthesia, and Acute Recovery Unit for post heart catherization patients. She was nominated for the prestigious Daisy Award five times and received the Award for Nursing of Excellence in 2014. After 25 years in the nursing profession, Ms. Troyer went to South University to obtain a Master’s in Nursing because she felt like she “had more to offer patients as a provider”. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Troyer also has a passion for teaching and is currently an instructor for Basic CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Mrs. Troyer enjoys being a role model, team player, and promotes collaboration to improve practice. “I love working in a practice where there is an array of procedures to help achieve healthier skin, make a difference using a variety of treatments, and assist in surgical procedures as well”. She has a heart for adolescents and children too. “I love making people smile, and I treat everyone the same as I would my own family”. In the world of dermatology, she is most drawn to surgical procedures, and cosmetic injections to instill confidence and make a positive change in people’s lives. Mrs. Troyer is married and is the mother of three handsome boys.

    Facelift

    The “lyft” procedure is coined term that we are using to describe a procedure which removes excess fat and skin from the lower face, neck or both. Skin and musculature is tightened in the process. Repositioning of the skin allows our patients to achieve a more youthful appearance. Those who respond best have deep cheek folds and loose sagging skin around the neck. As we age, fat pads descend from the upper cheek and skin laxity becomes more prominent in the jowl regions of the face. Our lyft technique uses smaller incisions. These are hidden behind the ear folds and/or in the crease just under the chin. By minimizing incision length (and undermining), the procedure is safer and requires less downtime than that seen with a traditional facelift.
