Excel V Laser Newnan

Excel V Laser Treatments Available in Newnan and LaGrange

Our state of the art Cutera Excel V™ Laser is an award winning device that can treat multiple cosmetic concerns in one to six treatment sessions. This device incorporates two super precise laser wavelengths (532nm/1064nm) in one  platform. It is used to improve photo damaged skin, eliminate facial and leg veins, reduce rosacea vessels, target age spots and remove growths such as warts and keratoses.

How does it work? A laser emits a specific wavelength of light which can target a variety of colors in the skin. Through selective absorption of this energy, a cosmetic benefit is obtained. There are two approaches that can be used with the Excel V laser. The first makes use of a cool sapphire tip which protects the superficial skin surface while energy is directed towards blood vessels and age spots. The second approach employs a lighter hand piece which gently and precisely heats the skin surface (Laser Genesis™). With this latter technique, rapid microsecond bursts of laser energy improve acne scars, target nail fungus and help to optimize both skin texture and appearance.

The Excel V Laser can treat:

VASCULAR LESIONS: Telangiectasias, Leg Veins, Spider Veins, Cherry Angiomas, Venous Lakes, Rosacea, Diffuse Redness, Eyelid Vessels, Port Wine Stains, Red Stretch Marks

PIGMENTED LESIONS: Age Spots, Freckles, Café Au Lait Spots, DPNs, Melasma, Poikiloderma

SKIN LESIONS: Warts, Skin Tags, Keratoses, Seb Hypes

OTHER: Surgical Scars, Acne Scars, Nail Fungus, Photodynamic Therapy

Blepharoplasty is utilized to repair sagging eyelid skin and correct unsightly fat pads. Depending on the nature of the issue, excess skin, redundant muscle, and bulging fat pads can be cosmetically corrected in order to restore a refreshed and more youthful appearance to the eyes. CO2 Laser can be used simultaneously with this procedure to remove unwanted skin growths and improve sun damaged skin.

    Chemical Peel

The precise formulas in peels vary and the type utilized is personally adjusted to meet each patient’s needs. For example, tricholoracetic acid (TCA) is a medium depth peel, which can eliminate brown spots and help to even out textural irregularities on the face and neck. Downtime is usually around 7 days. Glycolic acid peels are referred to as lunchtime peels.

The “lyft” procedure is coined term that we are using to describe a procedure which removes excess fat and skin from the lower face, neck or both. Skin and musculature is tightened in the process. Repositioning of the skin allows our patients to achieve a more youthful appearance. Those who respond best have deep cheek folds and loose sagging skin around the neck. As we age, fat pads descend from the upper cheek and skin laxity becomes more prominent in the jowl regions of the face. Our lyft technique uses smaller incisions. These are hidden behind the ear folds and/or in the crease just under the chin. By minimizing incision length (and undermining), the procedure is safer and requires less downtime than that seen with a traditional facelift.
