Treat Excessive Sweating with RF Microneedling

Published on April 7, 2020

Excessive sweating can be a major ailment that affects the quality of one’s life. People who suffer from excessive sweating are often restricted in terms of fashion and everyday activity as the problem of excess sweat is obvious and embarrassing. Hyperhidrosis is a clinical ailment and can be treated with the help of Radio Frequency Microneedling.

RF Microneedling is highly preferred for its well known rejuvenating and anti-aging properties. It is also used to destroy sweat glands that are caused by thermal tissue reaction due to RF microneedling. The procedure is designed with unique technology and can be used on patients of all skin types. Besides, the procedure is FDA-approved.

The procedure is painless and involves local numbing of the underarm followed by a 20-minute session. The square tip will be pressed against the skin as such that every square of the armpit is at least treated two to three times. The energy that is applied effectively damages and disables the functioning of the gland.

There is no downtime or recovery period and you can carry on with your daily routine after RF Microneedling. Some patients might require up to three treatments while others will have the desired results in one treatment.

The radiofrequency that is generated through microneedles are used to target two-seat glands at once: apocrine, the odor-producing gland and eccrine, the water producing gland. The best thing about radiofrequency treatment is that the results are long-lasting.

The precise formulas in peels vary and the type utilized is personally adjusted to meet each patient’s needs. For example, tricholoracetic acid (TCA) is a medium depth peel, which can eliminate brown spots and help to even out textural irregularities on the face and neck. Downtime is usually around 7 days. Glycolic acid peels are referred to as lunchtime peels.

    Facelift

The “lyft” procedure is coined term that we are using to describe a procedure which removes excess fat and skin from the lower face, neck or both. Skin and musculature is tightened in the process. Repositioning of the skin allows our patients to achieve a more youthful appearance. Those who respond best have deep cheek folds and loose sagging skin around the neck. As we age, fat pads descend from the upper cheek and skin laxity becomes more prominent in the jowl regions of the face. Our lyft technique uses smaller incisions. These are hidden behind the ear folds and/or in the crease just under the chin. By minimizing incision length (and undermining), the procedure is safer and requires less downtime than that seen with a traditional facelift.
