Washing Sensitive Skin

Taking care of your skin is important, especially if you’ve got sensitive skin. If you’re going to take good care of your skin, it’s important to treat your epidermis gently, even while cleaning.

When you shower, be sure to only use warm water and limit the time you spend. Hot water and extended exposure to water can draw the protective oils from your skin, leaving your skin more vulnerable.

Avoid strong soaps. Powerful soaps can strip the oil from your skin and leave it dry.
Instead, choose mild soaps that come with essential oils and protective fats that help care for your skin.

Be sure to avoid skin-irritating additives such as perfumes and dyes, and take care in your choice of makeup. It’s important to remove makeup carefully in order to protect your skin, especially when you’ve got sensitive skin.
