Dr. Harvey Becomes President of the Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery
PRESS RELEASE – This June, Dr. David T. Harvey, who owns the Dermatology Institute for Skin Cancer + Cosmetic Surgery will assume the role as president for the Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (GSDDS).
The GSDDS, established in May 1958, is a statewide association, with a current membership of more than 200 physicians. It strives to enhance the quality of human life by supporting an environment in which dermatologists can provide the highest quality of care. The GSDDS provides representation to both the Medical Association of Georgia and the American Academy of Dermatology.
“I am looking forward to the chance to lead the Georgia Society for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, says Dr. Harvey. “It’s a great opportunity to collaborate with dermatologists across the state, to explore new advances in skin disease management, and optimize the way in which medical care is delivered to our valued Georgia patients.”
The Dermatology Institute has been operating in LaGrange and Newnan for the past four years and serves patients from all over the southeast including: Atlanta, Peachtree City, Newnan, LaGrange, Tyrone, Auburn, Ala. and surrounding areas. The practice specializes in general dermatology, as well as skin cancer diagnosis and Mohs (Skin Cancer) Surgery. The institute also offers advanced cosmetic procedures to help patient’s look and feel their best.
Dr. Harvey and three highly-trained dermatology providers are currently taking new appointments. The office has two locations in LaGrange and Newnan where patients are seen at both locations five days a week.
