Body Contouring for the summer!
David T. Harvey, MD Mohs Surgeon & Cosmetic Dermatologist
Tumescent liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure which can remove localized fat deposits from the body. Dermatologic surgeons advanced this procedure in the 1980s with the advent of tumescent anesthesia. This procedure uses dilute forms of local anesthesia which allows for less bleeding, enhanced patient safety and eliminates the need for general sedation.
The skin of an ideal patient is not sagging or loose. The neck, flank, abdomen, buttocks, thigs and arm areas can all be safely treated. Candidates should be within 40 pounds of their ideal body weight.
The actual procedure takes two to three hours to perform. Small incisions are strategically placed and heal within a couple of weeks.
Soon you’ll be on your way to looking good in a bathing suit, skirt or blouse. Enjoy the summer…and your new look!
