NEWNAN, GA (May 1, 2018) – The Dermatology Institute for Skin Cancer + Cosmetic Surgery is proud to announce that Dr. L. Evan Michael, board certified dermatologist, is joining its team.

Dr. David T. Harvey, president and owner of the Dermatology Institute for Skin Cancer + Cosmetic Surgery, says, “We are excited to have a such a highly qualified Dermatologist join our team of professionals to help us meet the needs of our patients.”

Dr. L. Evan Michael earned both his MD with Distinction in Research and his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan.

“I am looking forward to getting to know people in the community as I join the Dermatology Institute team,” says Dr. L. Evan Michael. “I enjoy the field of dermatology because of the opportunity to care for such a wide variety of patients – from those with skin cancer, to those with acne, to those with cosmetic concerns. I love being able to see an immediate difference in the lives of my patients as their skin concerns are treated.”

Dr. L. Evan Michael is an active member of the Atlanta Association for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, the Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatopathology, the International Society of Dermatopathology, the American Medical Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

The Dermatology Institute has been operating in LaGrange and Newnan for the past five years and serves patients from all over the Southeast, including Atlanta, Peachtree City, Newnan, LaGrange, Tyrone, Auburn, Ala. and surrounding areas. The practice specializes in general dermatology, as well as skin cancer diagnosis and Mohs (skin cancer) surgery. The Institute also offers advanced cosmetic procedures to help patients look and feel their best.

Dr. Harvey and two highly-trained dermatology providers are currently taking new appointments in both Newnan and LaGrange. Both locations are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
